The heel is the largest bone inside of the foot. It is one of 26 bones, and between the heel and the ankle, there is over 100 tendons, muscles, and ligaments. Heel pain can have one of many causes, including sports injuries, heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, and more.
While it is great to rest, put ice on it, and take pain medication, it is a better idea to call and make an appointment with us so that we can see if there is a deeper cause for your foot pain.
